Special Programs in Occupational Therapy
Services
(SPOTS) serves children, ages six
months to sixteen years, and their families. As
occupational therapists we provide strategies and
adaptations to promote functional participation in
the areas of play, school, and home. We are
committed to fostering a child's growth,
self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.

We invest in each child's unique capacity to meet
the everyday challenges of the particular
environment, culture and community, in which the
child lives, plays, learns and loves.

Partnerships are critical and include a child's
parents, teachers, significant caregivers, friends,
and other health practitioners.

We integrate the child's uniqueness, creativity,
playfulness and curiosity in addressing the child's
difficulties. This builds new strengths.
