Becca Wannamaker

Becca Wannamaker is a part-time occupational therapist on the SPOTS team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
Becca is passionate about providing patient-centered, play-based therapy with a strong focus on sensory processing and functional participation. She brings a diverse clinical background, with experience working with medically complex children across a variety of settings, including the NICU, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, and early intervention services.
Prior to joining SPOTS, Becca worked in Louisiana at the Children’s Hospital New Orleans and in Early Intervention programs, providing occupational therapy services to children and young adults from birth through 22 years of age. Her clinical experience allows her to thoughtfully support each child’s unique developmental needs while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams.
At SPOTS, Becca provides occupational therapy services in the clinic three days a week and also works with students in kindergarten through 8th grade at a private school in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
