Madeline Cherney

Maddie is a part-time member of the SPOTS’s team. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from The University of Toronto.
Maddie is a neurodiversity affirming therapist who loves to learn. She is passionate about providing holistic, client-centered therapy services and has advanced education and experience in sensory processing and self-regulation, Handwriting Without Tears, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Reflex Integration, Therapeutic Listening, Social Thinking, Collaborative and Proactive Solutions, Executive Functioning, Integrated Listening Systems, and The Safe and Sound Protocol.
At SPOTS, Maddie provides comprehensive evaluations and clinic based intervention. In addition to her work at SPOTS, Maddie provide occupational therapy and supervision expertise at a school for twice exceptional children where she spends extensive time in the classroom collaborating with teachers and students.
During her free time, Maddie enjoys spending time with her family, exploring New York City and traveling.
