Miranda Kalish

OTR/L

Miranda is a full-time member of the SPOTS team. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University.

She supports children at schools and at the SPOTS sensory gym. In addition to this work, she is responsible for scheduling sessions and various other administrative tasks that keep SPOTS responsive to clients and organized in practice.

Miranda has extensive experience working with children. Before becoming an OT, Miranda taught nursery school on the Upper West Side. She brought her creativity from leading in the classroom to providing a balance of routine and free play to the children at SPOTS. She provides a capacity to maintain a flexible approach to handling transitions based on each child’s needs. Miranda is delighted as she continues working with a pediatric population as an OT at SPOTS.

In her free time, Miranda enjoys spending time with her friends, lifting weights, baking, traveling, and doing puzzles.
