Sophie Norris

Sophie Norris is a part-time member of the SPOTS team. She received a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, and a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, specializing in handwriting.
At SPOTS, Sophie focuses on school-based therapy and also providing individual and small group activities in the sensory gym. Sophie has experience supporting children with developmental, learning, and motor-based challenges through individual therapy, group sessions, and school-based programs. She partners with each student, values collaboration with their family, and educators on her team to promote improvement in functional skills, independence, and confidence across shared journeys.
Sophie is interested in leading a specialized handwriting group for children who have specific needs for extra support. Sophie enjoys featuring fun, simple activities to promote children’s skill building when contributing to SPOTS marketing venues.
During her free time, Sophie enjoys running outdoors, baking, and trying new restaurants.
