Soraya Caesar
OTA/L
Soraya is a full-time therapist at the SPOTS’s team. She received her Associate degree at La Guardia Community College in 2001 and began working at Spots in 2005.
She is bilingual (Spanish/English). She has expertise in the Learning without Tears program. She uses her extensive additional expertise to support the children who come to SPOTS. Soraya is a fieldwork supervisor for Level 1 University Students.
Soraya provides expert coordination and leadership of the SPOTS’s Summer Camp, and has done so for the past 12 years. She provides OT support in multiple schools affiliated with SPOTS for children ages 3-5 years old.
Soraya brings her experience as a Home Health Aide with multiply involved children and adults to offer specialized support to children at SPOTS who have special health care needs and are differently abled. Her experience in providing occupational therapy support in various nursing and rehabilitation facilities has given immense sensitivity to providing a supportive environment for each child she works with.
During her free time, Soraya enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, walking, dancing, restaurant hopping, watching movies, reading, etc. She also continues to bake her delicious “Pineapple Upside-down cakes” for special occasions. She also appreciates the many long term friendships she has made with her colleagues and parents by working at SPOTS and at the schools.
She is a member of the Kings Church of Christ and she is involved in many activities to help the community.
